About Bullhead City

Bullhead City is in west-central Mohave County, located on the east side of the Colorado River near the border of Arizona, California, and Nevada. Among Arizona’s fastest growing communities, it is the sister city of Laughlin, Nevada and 90 minutes from Las Vegas. Bullhead City/Laughlin is a town of 46,500 people spread over 45 square miles and is a popular destination for retirees as the dry air and low cost of living is particularly appealing. Tourism is a primary economic activity centering on the hospitality/resort and gaming industries.

Bullhead City has tons of tourist event throughout the year! An annual Farmers Market is held in the Community Park at 1251 Highway 95 on the first Saturday of each month from Oct to May. An annual 2 day Winter Festival is held on the first weekend in December in conjunction with the Women's Council BoomBox parade. This event takes place at 2350 Miracle Mile. Every 4th of July an Annual BBQ Pool Party is held that takes place at the municipal pool inside Ken Fovargue Park located at 2255 Trane Rd. The third week of July the Annual Splash Bash is also held at Ken Foargue Park (guests receive free water, hotdogs, popcorn, snow cones, and chips!). Another popular attraction is the annual Fishing Derby that is held over a weekend in the beginning of June (participants can win cash prizes, raffle gifts, and more!) The Senior Games are held during the third week of January held at several locations throughout the community. Da Taco Fest, this event takes place in the Rotary park offering live music as well as trophies for the best tacos and cars! Bullhead City is full of life and always has plenty of action!
